APPT Mission Statement

February 5th, 2010

Here is a Mission Statement that we came up with last meeting: APPT’s goal is to educate the community in the health and environmental benefits of choosing alternative means of transportation. We work to raise public awareness in walking and bicycle safety including inspiring people to incorporate walking or bicycling into their daily routine. Thoughts – ?

New APPT Website feature: Hazard Reporting and Tracking Interface

February 4th, 2010

http://nevcoappt.org/hazards.html This is very cool, so check it out! It is easy to use and now we have a way to record and track Nevada County area biking and walking hazards! Some cool features are the SeeClickFix interface will report the hazard to which ever agency is responsible for making repairs, track how many people want the repair fixed, and send alerts out to users when there is a change or repair to the recorded hazard.

Please let us know what you think about this feature! Start recording hazards today, and help improve our community !
